Parking a subscription allows a subscription Administrator to hold a subscription without granting anyone access to use it.
A typical use case might look like this:
- An Administrator owns two Kaleidoscope Subscriptions: one for use by the Administrator, and one for use by a Guest.
- The Guest moves to a different project and no longer needs their subscription, so the Administrator removes the Guest from their Guest List and parks the subscription. That subscription is still owned by the Administrator but has no active user.
- When a new person joins the project, the Administrator adds them as a new guest and Reassigns the Parked subscription to them.
Park a Subscription
- As a Subscription Administrator, go to My Account > Subscriptions.
- Release a Guest's subscription.
- Select Park.
The subscription will now show Status: parked and will not be associated with any user.
Reassign a Parked Subscription
- As a Subscription Administrator, go to My Account > Subscriptions.
- Under Reassign Released or Parked Subscription, select the parked subscription and a user to receive it.
- Select Reassign.
The subscription will now be assigned to the selected user. They can activate it in Kaleidoscope Pro under License > Activate annual subscription.
