No. The Song Meter Micro and Micro 2 do not support connections to external batteries, and must be powered via AA batteries. Not counting time spent asleep, the Song Meter Micro 2 can record 280 hours of audio using four AA batteries.

If you need longer deployment times, our other Song Meters provide several options:

• The Song Meter Mini 2 AA can record 530 hours of audio using eight AA batteries.
• The Song Meter Mini 2 Li-ion can record 1,330 hours of audio using six 18650 lithium-ion batteries.
• The Song Meter SM4 accepts external power and can connect to the Wildlife Acoustics Power Kit or third-party external batteries and solar power systems. A sufficiently sized external battery and solar panel can power the recorder indefinitely.
